So what’s this B Corp thing all about?

There’ll be a lot more to come on this topic in the future, but let’s just say that while setting up the business, Steve’s main motivation was to find a way of keeping stuff out of landfill in a creative and useful way. So there was a lot of thinking to be done about how to set things up.

Turns out that the ‘B Corp Pending’ process is a really excellent way of steering a young start-up through getting all of those little things that matter, right from the outset.

Things like what happens to profits. Or like how to track your energy & water use, or your waste production. Like how to choose and deal with suppliers and collaborators.

Also, things like thinking about diversity, equity, and access to our sports and the outdoors for anyone and everyone that wants it.

Really, just a great framework in which to do that tricky thing that is easily lost in the mess of start-up franticness….

To think.

So Slidehustle HAS the absolute intention to be a business which benefits our environment, community, planet, and culture.

May seem a little lofty for a little business like this, stumbling along in the early stages of start-up, but hey. Gotta have principles.
