We do know that a lot of plastics from industry and domestic use ARE processed, and are turned into entirely new materials and products.

But once we discovered that some types of sheet material, evident all around us, CAN’T go through the majority of recycling processes, it led us to want to keep them out of landfill, which is where it mostly ends up.

And which is just gross.

Also, taking plastic waste and transforming it into entirely new material, can itself be a significantly wasteful process.

It can be heavily polluting, energy & chemical using, and in most cases happens a long way across the planet from where we are.

So the ethos here at Slidehustle is to gather as much usable material as we can and as simply as we can, repurpose it into really cool, hard-wearing, functional pieces of equipment for people who love their surfboards AND their planet!!
